Socially Active through Social Activity, I have a great job, a great wusband, a great life…these are my stories
I travel a lot. My wusband and I travel for pleasure as often as possible. I also have the pleasure of travelling for work. I spend an average of 2.5 weeks per month travelling during the most social seasons of the year of Late Spring to mid-Autumn. For anyone that travels that often, you have to get really good at working in motion. This means you have to carry your office with you.
If you’re anything like me you have multiple electronic devices, which also means multiple cords, along with the various and sundry items that you carry with you in your bag. The real challenge is the bag itself. If you find a bag that will carry your computer with enough space and compartments for your stuff, it’s usually utilitarian and definitely not chic. If you carry a chic and elegant bag to carry your stuff, either it’s not big enough, got enough compartments or sturdy enough for the wear and tear of traveling with stuff.
With backgrounds in music, sports, film and television (and careers that demanded tons of travel) LDR Brands founders experienced firsthand the need for tech accessories that matched the fast-paced, 24/7 lifestyle of today’s successful modern woman, yet didn’t compromise great style and personal taste.
Sarah DeMarco, Nickole Raymond and Lindsey, LDR’s founders, have been on a mission to design an accessory that will revolutionize the lives of women who work and travel – The LDR Porter, a stylish, fun, functional laptop bag finally exists. After years of development, LDR Brands has been born – a company that has created a luxurious, functional laptop bag that will no longer burden women with the choice between function and fashion…Just imagine a luxury handbag, protective laptop carrier and compartmentalized briefcase all in one – it’s the perfect solution!
LDR has launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise $45K to manifest their dream and get their products to market. While they have several different levels of giving, if they sell 116 bags by their deadline on September 4, they’ll reach their goal and we all win! I especially love the fact that I can get my bag monogrammed. I’m not sure if it’s the Southerner in me or the prep in me that makes me love monograms so much! I just know, it makes my bag my own and I love that it’s an option. The bags themselves have some great features: 100% Italian pebbled leather and suede, eco-friendly shock absorbent padded computer section and loads of interior pockets!
I’ve decided to do my best to help this company make their goal. Yes, it is a bit self serving considering I need a product like this. However, the reason I really want to do this is because I am always all about supporting women in their quests. I can’t imagine that there aren’t at least 116 women that believe in this product enough to help. Let’s do what women do best and gather together and buy a great bag!
